GB 30255-2019 Notification of LED luminaire CEL standard implementation
February 26, 2020The new CEL implementation rule of LED luminaires has published at January 10 2020, the related new GB standards GB 30255-2019 will be executed at 2020-05-01. Indoor LED products energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades implementation rule is collecting the feedbacks from manufacturers phase. Feedback collecting date is February 9 2020. Then the new implementation rule will be executed in line.
According to the new implementation rule, the related GB standard is GB 30255-2019 Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades of LED products for indoor lighting:

For the time being, CCG will advise you to apply username and password from CEL center first, because the whole process can take months. And only when you receive the user name and password the client can start registration process.
CEL process include two steps for registration: Type testing and registration in CEL system. Type testing can be done by Chinese test lab or registered energy test lab by the client. For further questions concerning the CEL please feel free to contact us.
LED luminaires Scope of CEL:
- For LED downlights which is using LED source, voltage is no more than 250 V, frequency 50Hz, rating power is more than 2W, beam angle > 60 degree, then it is fall into CEL scope, not including integrated LED downlights;
- For directional integrated LED lamps (PAR16, PAR20, PAR30 and PAR38 series) which the voltage is 220 V, frequency 50Hz, lamp holder is either GU10, B22, E14 or E27, then it is fall into CEL scope;
- For non-directional self-ballast LED lamps which is complying with GB/T 24908 which the voltage 220V, 50Hz, rating power is more than 2W, and less than 60W, then it is fall into CEL scope.
When the LED luminaires involve with lighting dimming or color grading and sensor function then they are not in CEL scope.
